The Sacramento Running Association presented a $15,000 check to UC Davis Children’s Hospital.

As the chief beneficiary of the California International Marathon (CIM) and the Sacramento Running Association (SRA), UC Davis Children’s Hospital received a $15,000 check this December to support a full range of children’s services including research, education and clinical care. This donation was followed by a mini marathon in the hospital.

This pediatric patient was the first to cross the CIM mini marathon finish line.

Pediatric patients and their families enjoyed a lap around the pediatric unit, complete with individual bib numbers and medals when they reached the finish line.

“This annual event is always a favorite for the kids,” said Jacquelyn Mills, executive director of development at UC Davis Children’s Hospital. “The smiles from our mini-marathoners are priceless.”
