More donations. More miracles. CMN donors help fund new UC Davis Children’s Hospital ambulance

New ambulance branded with UC Davis Children's Hospital which includes of real kids and staff

This new, CMN-funded ambulance is dedicated to 24/7 pediatric patient transport to UC Davis Children’s Hospital.

A new ambulance, exclusively for UC Davis Children’s Hospital patients, is now in service. The high-tech vehicle was made possible by a Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals grant.

Operated by NORCAL Ambulance and staffed by the UC Davis Children’s Hospital Transport Team, this rig is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Features on the new ambulance include:

  • Digital and touch screen controls
  • Safer seating for staff traveling with the child, which include safety harnesses
  • An enhanced system to secure an isolette or gurney in the vehicle
  • DVD player for patient distraction and comfort

UC Davis Children’s Hospitals serves 33 counties in Northern California which means pediatric patients are often transported long distances. Upwards of 800 children per year utilize UC Davis Children’s Hospital transport.
