Walmart and Sam’s Club kick off CMN fundraising campaign for UC Davis Children’s Hospital

Sam’s Club and Walmart are kicking off their annual Miracle Balloon campaign by asking customers to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and its local hospital, UC Davis Children’s Hospital, from Sept. 21 to Oct. 29. Customers can donate $1 or more when they check out at the register.

Money raised at the Walmart and Sam’s Club stores in the 33-county coverage area in Northern California will go directly to benefit the sick and injured children at UC Davis Children’s Hospital. Donations support new equipment, cutting-edge research, programs and patient care. One hundred percent of funds raised stay local.

During last year’s Miracle Balloon campaign, 66 local Sam’s Club and Walmart stores raised more than $531,000 for Children’s Miracle Network at UC Davis and its local hospital, UC Davis Children’s Hospital. In addition, Sam’s Club on Power Inn Road in Sacramento was named the No. 1 Sam’s Club store in the country for the second year in a row to raise the most money for Children’s Miracle Network during its 2016 Miracle Balloon campaign.

Sam’s Club and Walmart celebrate 30 years of supporting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals this year, raising nearly $1 billion nationally to help purchase medical equipment, fund treatments and services and provide charitable care for kids. View the video.
