Sam’s Club and Walmart are kicking off their annual Miracle Balloon campaign by asking customers to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and its local hospital, UC Davis Children’s Hospital, from Sept. 21 to Oct. 29. Customers can donate $1 or more when they check out at the register.
Money raised at the Walmart and Sam’s Club stores in the 33-county coverage area in Northern California will go directly to benefit the sick and injured children at UC Davis Children’s Hospital. Donations support new equipment, cutting-edge research, programs and patient care. One hundred percent of funds raised stay local.
During last year’s Miracle Balloon campaign, 66 local Sam’s Club and Walmart stores raised more than $531,000 for Children’s Miracle Network at UC Davis and its local hospital, UC Davis Children’s Hospital. In addition, Sam’s Club on Power Inn Road in Sacramento was named the No. 1 Sam’s Club store in the country for the second year in a row to raise the most money for Children’s Miracle Network during its 2016 Miracle Balloon campaign.
“Through their donations, shoppers can positively impact the lives of countless children and their families at UC Davis Children’s Hospital,” said Jacquelyn Mills, director of development at Children’s Miracle Network at UC Davis. “The hope and healing that these contributions bring are nothing short of inspiring. We are so grateful for the partnership and dedication of all Sam’s Club and Walmart store associates during our Miracle Balloon campaign.”
