ABC10 CMN Mediathon
For the entire day during regular programming, ABC10 featured inspiring, local stories of children who had been treated at UC Davis Children’s Hospital. ABC10 anchors Mark S. Allen, Megan Telles, Carlos Saucedo, Irene Cruz, Liz Kreutz and Chris Thomas were broadcasting from the Pavilion lobby of the hospital all day.

Here are a few video stories that were covered:

Viewers called in their donations to the toll-free number, 877-719-KIDS (5437) and ABC10 also promoted the Mediathon to its more than 547,000 social media followers on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #Give4Kids.

Papa Murphy’s Take ‘n’ Bake Pizza also hosted a pizza promotion in Parking Lot #3 of the Medical Center, selling $5 large Kids Favorite Pizzas (half cheese and half pepperoni) with a portion of proceeds benefiting UC Davis Children’s Hospital. Sacramento Republic FC players and representatives were also on site to meet and greet employees and the public.

“Friday was a day for miracles. It was wonderful to see our communities come together to make miracles happen for the children here at UC Davis Children’s Hospital,” said Jacquelyn Mills, senior director of development at Children’s Miracle Network at UC Davis.

Like all Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® fundraisers, funds raised stay local, meaning all funds donated to the mediathon will be given to UC Davis Children’s Hospital and stay right here in the Sacramento community.
